Dinner. 16January09

man, i was so bored as HELL.
then, i was so sad.
i wanted to go the night market at tamp. but when i met huda in the late afternoon, *poof* it was gone. nooooo~ so sad. so so sad. couldn't contact fasha. oh well. i know we know you know. called mail. and soon we were on the way to meet mail at downtown to eat at al-fresco, since we were dead hungry then. foooodd~

mail was making moves on a 3-4year old girl?! whoa. weird. we chilled and talked. all kinds of funny/cool/weird stuffs. and yes, 2009 - we're turning 20. oh-oh. and mail pretends to be some robo-cop with his helmet. haha!

i will decide to move on or wait.

out with the family to johor. woo. been awhile since i went johor with family. (:
watched movies. but it was a split. mom&bro watched bedtime stories. while me&sis&dad watched histeria, a malay movie about jins&scary stuffs, which i HATE a lot. but i did struggled my very best to escape but in vain. ugh. hidup susah. oh well, i did watch. only like less than 10% of the movie, most of the time, i used my sis' hand as a shield to cover my eyes. hehe. seriously, this is not my kind of movies. eeee..

psst. story of my embarassing moment in the theatre.
nearing the ending of the movie, dad went out to use the toilet. the weird thing was me&sis seemed that he nvr came back, so we suspect that he lost his way. haha (it happens~!). so, at the very ending of the movie, the already mentally disturbed girl said this spooky verse then.. suddenly, out of nowhere, someone grabbed my shoulders from behind me. wth?! i freaking screamed la! wrong move, cause everyone in the theatre looked at me, as the lights all got turned on as the movie ended. guess who was the villian who made me screamed? it was my dad la sia! he sat at an empty at the back of the theatre. ugh~!! embarassing la sia! ish. its already bad enough during the movie, he came making scary noises beside me.. eee. don't want sit beside him during a movie anymore la~! :'(

went dinner&grocery shopping. woo~
didnt buy much for myself. but, nevermind, next time.

best part was supper.

Bedtime Stories. 09January09

accompanied fasha do her resume. then, we head off to meet aisha at downtown. poor aisha. slapped by a old woman(patient). there she goes all so sad and down. bought tickets for bedtime stories, movie. took a stroll in the park, aisha claims she wants to go emo'ing. aiseyy.. later liyana joined and we went to watch movies. after movies, we got aimless, and decided to walk home. soon, aisha's cure came calling~ haha.

and next time, slap the patient back. say "opps. quick instant reflex." haha.

the movie was good. i absolutely love the guinea pig (: bugsy(sp?). soo cute. soo adorable. soo irresistable. eeekk~ haha. the storyline was okay la. all was good.

Windy. 08January09

met up with fasha after her classes, went to downtown for a drink. poor fasha, was down with a bad flu and had to bring along her new bestfriends, tissues with her. hehe. oh and she just got a new hair cut, the day before. *giggle*

planned to watch movies but we kept pending the time. waited for taha who went for SP Open House. boy, the goody bag was so cool, especially the circle-thing-highlighter. haha. made a pit-stop to afdal house to pass him earpiece & thumbdrive. *dam dim doom* we left to meet fasha&taha again. soon afdal left for his holy weekly ritual. haha. class ugama. amin.

fasha&taha&me walked around in the park. superr windy or what! syiok. haha. as fasha&taha entertained each other, i enjoyed the wind too much until i fall asleep. then, my new hero came to my rescue. haha. a new meow meow, super right timing. follow wherever i go, frightened poor fasha. haha.

Global Education. yesterday afternoon, while i had the time before work, i had to attend this talk regarding the topic of "Global Education and how it is implicating local students" in Singapore. A talk/discussion session held alongside with the presence and participation of Permanent Secretary of MOE, Mrs Tan Ching Yee.

what is GLOBAL EDUCATION ??
what is the first thing that crosses your mind when you hear these 2 words ?

it's more likely to be going overseas to further your studies or students coming in Singapore to further their studies. in such a way, it is simply going out of the state to do your education. in addition, the idea of cultural exchange is also included. where if you were to go overseas to another country to study, chances of you learning about that particular country's culture will be inevitable. the country could almost share the same cultural habits as Singapore, and it also may not at all. Mrs. Tan did pointed out that since Singapore is an English speaking country, chance of the students able to adapt to English speaking countries like Australia, USA and Canada is easier, for Singaporean students will find that Singapore and the English country is similar, as people there share the same language.

However, a student did share that even though we may speak in the same language but is from a different country, it is NOT necessary the same. the feeling is not the same, not at all as it does not have the Singapore essence or so to speak. in this matter, i would highly agree to the student's view.

being attached to Australia for 3months showed me a lot, especially in terms of global education. it is a small glimpse of global education. Australia may be a English speaking country too, however, it's living lifestyle is different from Singapore. It does have its pros & cons. a week before going Australia, i fear the thought of unable to adapt and missing my family back in Singapore. it got very serious, even until the time of departure at the airport, i questioned myself numerous times whether i made a right choice by accepting the attachment internship programme to Australia. but as i arrived at the student apartment and spending a week there, i realise it was easy to adapt. some how it was similar to Singapore, especially Brisbane City. you don't really see Australians all the time. you see all kind of people from all around the globe, similarly to seeing Singapore being multi-cultural, many races. plus, the people there are SUPER friendly. and i really like it there (:

but, by the last week of the last month, the feeling of missing home started. i miss Singapore terriblely&horriblely. the food, the family, the people, the almost everything in Singapore, that does not exists in Australia. and if Australia do sell 'Singaporean' food, it does not feel the same. that was when it got me thinking, if in 3months, i could be missing home, being homesicked, what about it's 3years ?? i think i might die~ *dramatic* so thats why im reconsidering my options on taking the offer of 'fast-track 2 years to master degree' from the university i got attached to. i don't know what to do~ ooooohhhhh hoooowww...

aniways, back to the topic.
1. if you got a chance to study overseas, will you go ?
2. if you were given a fully-paid scholarship to study overseas for a long period of time, will you go ?
3. if you got a job offer after your studies overseas, will you take the offer and not go back Singapore?

i had a yes, yes and i don't know answers.
alahai, going to graduate soon. what to do what to do~!! ugh.

mom woke me up at 11am to eat lunch, to celebrate my grandma's birthday with the extended family at a restaurant somewhere in geylang. omg. i was dead tired. like seriously half-dead. like a walking zombie. hahaha.. lucky the food was nice. then, we all went bugis. suffering the effects of a public holiday, while using the public transport, mrt. and the crowd was ..... horrible. it was total madness. benci benci *immitate fasha's tone* aniways, bought cream puffs & donuts. i loike~!! sooo going to gain weight big time~! but who cares.. bwa~

2008 GONE. Goodbye 2008

upon entering the new year, 2009.
we tend to reflect back about the previous year.
what we did, what we didn't.
and all the past memories start to flood back.
memories good and bad, beautiful and horrible.

2008 came and go.
so fast, maybe too fast.
what i could remember was bits and pieces of memories of 2008.

1. the fun times working at sentosa. it was a wonderful experience. with the fun&great people from ami's, whom i missed so much.. like taz, sandy, maghrib, qamarul, abg fandi and also, cik yusoff. hahaa.. wished i could worked back there but distance is a big issue. ohh well. i'll try to visit them often then with ida&ery then~! rindduuu..

2. the almost daily dose of the crazy maniac of ery rosa indah binte hendry dunan. omg. as much as she's one annoying woman. i love her to bits! and outs with the babes is LOVE. joti fiqah ida & ery~ it's all one big family package (:

3. the attachment trip to australia, brisbane for 3whole months. its was whoooaa. all was good, except the money issues. thinking very carefully, i doubt i'll immediately continue my studies after poly directly to the uni in australia, even though offered to. money is a big big issue and, 3 whole years away from family and friends.. wow. not easy. i have to rethink my options again. and fast! graduating in a couple of months..

4. the recent rekindled times with my primary school people ever since i got back from australia. words can't really describe this. but i love it. absolutely. they totally filled my empty times almost everyday, especially paca paca. hahaa.. and i do enjoy my favourite comedy couple stories (: it brings me joy.

5. the happy and bad times of falling in and out of love. the joy and tears. all comes as a package in life. the lost of the kept ring for years was lost recently, maybe it is a sign, to let it go. to see him again on new year's eve itself. maybe it is a chance to say goodbye and to move on. maybe i could try to love another. maybe it's really time to let it go and move on. i shall keep telling myself that for this entire 2009 then (: hahahahaa~!!

BE HAPPY is my wish for 2009 (:

Eeyore&NewYearEve. 31december08

me&fasha went to huda's house. *bang bam boom bom* we ended up sleeping, in which i only got 10mins nap, thanks to whoever-ness keep smsing me, i think it was din or was it wan? ugh. and yes, i fell in LOVE with one of huda's EEYORESSSSSS. hahahaa! plan to kidnap that eeyore from the crazy fanatic huda. giler uh that girl. soo many eeyores. scary. hahaa.. ohh, guess what happened after we woke up? fasha attack for food la! serious mannn~ kecohh.

after that, went home. watch din frustrated himself. hahaa.. then, later met him&his ikea friends. too bad, the capitalland building had some function. so we went starbucks to chill. din&the guys were making a big fuss about this bike that parked infront of starbucks. oohh well. me&yah took 30mins to find a freaking toilet. omg. hahaa! rabak. then we went padang. grabbed a spot. and waited for the fireworks. lalala~
